Galatians 2:20 ESV
20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Before we accepted Christ as our Savior, we lived in our sins and mistakes. We were not living to glorify God. We only lived for our own selfish desires. When we became crucified with Christ, He changed our whole lives. He cleansed us inwardly. We now have a renewed spirit.
Our old lives have passed, but that does not mean we are lifeless. We are now full of Jesus. He came to make His home in us, and we live by faith through Him. We were once full of ourselves, but now we are renewed and full of faith in Christ. It is by Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28) Knowing we have Him inside us should bring great comfort. He will never leave us. Everywhere we go, He is there.
Father, I am so glad Jesus died for me to have a new life. I no longer live for myself, but by my faith in Christ. Please help me show others my trust in You by living my life according to Your will. Thank You, Jesus, for entering my life and loving me perfectly. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
