1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT
13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous.[a] Be strong. 14 And do everything with love.
It is important to stand on the truth of the Word of God. Paul was giving the Corinthians some instructions for standing firm in the faith. They were meant to edify the readers. The most important part is we must do everything with love.
The Bible tells us if we don’t have love, we have nothing. Paul talks about all of that in 1 Corinthians chapter 13. It is all about how we should love others. If we don’t have love, we cannot expect to stand firm in our faith, because everything God does is out of love.
Standing firmly takes purpose. We must choose to stand on the Word of God. That means we believe what the Bible says is true. When we are planted in God’s truth, we can withstand anything the enemy throws our way. Here is a quote from God in my book, OK, God, Let’s Start From Here.
You must stand and fight.
Fight every battle by using what I have given you – My Word!
