A great relationship with God is not only wanted by Him but needed. We need to understand Him more and more every day. He wants us to come to Him in our times of sorrow and rejoicing. We need to talk to Him about everything. He is always waiting to hear from us. Having a right relationship includes communication. This is a two-way process. We need to talk to Him about everything happening in our lives, and then take time to listen to what He says in return. If we just pray for a few minutes and then leave, we are not allowing a relationship with Him to really flow. We are cutting the most important part of our relations with Him by shutting Him out of our lives. This is a passage from my book, “OK, God, Let’s Start From Here” reiterates this fact.
God wants a relationship with each and every one of us. That is what He wants most. He wants our love, and He wants our thanks, but all that is included in our relationship with Him.
