God wants our hearts. He wants our love and devotion, not just what we think we are required to give Him. We can’t give God our leftovers or half-hearted prayers and expect to receive anything from Him in return. If we have to make a sacrifice to be with God or come to Him, then we need to make sure we do so with pure motives from an open heart.
