Hello, I’m Tricia Draper, and I’m so glad you’re here.
My greatest desire is to encourage others to discover that no matter where they are in life, God is always ready to meet them right where they are. He is a God of grace, hope, restoration, and new beginnings.
I live in Decatur, Texas, with my wonderful husband, Marcus. We were married on September 4, 1999, and have been blessed with our son, Logan, whom we consider one of God’s greatest gifts. Our family enjoys spending time together, especially our Friday night tradition of pizza and a movie with my parents. Those simple moments have become some of our favorite memories.
Much of what I write begins in a journal. As I spend time in prayer and in God’s Word, I often write down the thoughts, encouragement, and Scriptures He places on my heart. Many of those personal journal entries have grown into the devotionals, Bible studies, and books that I now have the privilege of sharing with others.
I also enjoy serving my community. I work part-time at a local fresh market where I’ve been blessed to meet so many wonderful people, and I volunteer at our local hospital where I have the opportunity to encourage patients during difficult times. Whether through everyday conversations or through writing, my prayer is always the same—to point people toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Writing has been a lifelong passion. I have authored several books, including OK, God, Let’s Start From Here, Hope After Grief, Angels Among Us, and Bobby Bear Learns to Be a Cowboy. My writing spans inspirational Christian living, devotionals, children’s books, and stories that encourage faith through every season of life.
Marcus and I also serve together through The Messengers, the ministry God has entrusted to us. Through Bible studies, audio teachings, videos, and online outreach, our desire is to help people grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and to share His truth with a world searching for hope. I hold a certificate from the Institute of Children’s Literature, but my greatest teacher has always been the Lord Himself. Every page I write is my prayer that someone will be reminded they are never alone, never beyond God’s grace, and never without hope.
